BRINGING IT BACK TO THE BASICS

THIS POST IS SPONSORED BY

"This post is sponsored by Carter's; however, all thoughts and opinions are my own."

The reason behind our title bringing it back to the basics is we have a lot of new friends following us and we'd love to let you know a little about us by starting from the beginning and sharing the basics of this CRAZY Clark family!

WHAT'S YOUR WORST FEAR AS A PARENT?

When Londynn was first born my biggest fear was her not being accepted by her peers yet over time I realized yes there may be people who might not see her worth or see how truly beautiful and special she is. Yet the people who are the most important people in her life will and those are the people who matter.

I think this is a concern that many parents in the Down syndrome community have had or have  yet I think once we see their worth and see that they can do anything anyone else can do our fears ease and we are able to choose faith.

When I advocate I advocate because I know there's so much more to her than her diagnosis and honestly I don't even think of Down Syndrome when I see her or hear her little voice I see my sweet beautiful little girl who is always learning, growing, and is amazing us everyday!

I remember someone saying that they noticed people would stare at their sweet baby who also just happens to have Down Syndrome in stores or at restaurants. After hearing this I was thinking to myself how I have never noticed someone starring at Londynn yet shortly after I started looking for it... And to be honest I would see people staring at Londynn a baby because well we all know people love babies and love staring at them! So were they staring at a baby or were they staring at her because they saw her almond shaped eyes and thought she might have Down Syndrome.. Honestly who knows and who cares I will let them stare because I love her and if they see my love for her I hope they can take that love that they see I have for her and see the beauty behind this diagnosis.

I've learned people treat Londynn the way I treat her! Well most people and for those of you who are still cautious and nervous about this diagnosis please let these individuals touch your life! You will than only understand why there's so much love when these individuals around.

INTRODUCING LONDYNN

When people meet Londynn I NEVER openly say she has Down Syndrome. You want to know why? Well It's because she isn't Down Syndrome so why do I need to openly announce that she has it. I do feel comfortable with telling people when they ask though that she is LIVING WITH A LITTLE EXTRA this is because I have never felt so close to the spirit in my life. With Londynn came a little piece of heaven and I'm serious when I say that! She is a true angel in this world during a much needed time!

Also Londynn was born at 37 weeks and 5 days and though she way considered full term she only weighed 4 pounds 7 ounces! She now is still in 3-6 month clothes and we have enjoyed having her little for so long! Many of you asked where we got our preemie clothes because they are hard to find! And I agree they are super hard to find and the only place I could find a variety of styles and sizes from preemie + was Carter's! I've linked the preemie clothes HERE !

MARCH 30TH, 2017

THIS POST IS SPONSORED BY

Everything I thought Motherhood would be changed March 30th, 2017 at 5:10 AM. Our baby girl came into this world weighing 4 pounds 7 ounces and had a LITTLE EXTRA CHROMOSOMES. What a tiny little thing that took up our whole heart instantly! Londynn was born with beautiful dark hair and spirit of an angel. Our life changed in the best way yet, Down Syndrome isn't Londynn. I truly believe that with every ounce of my body though Down Syndrome doesn't define these individuals and it's definitely not who they are, I do believe god sends these individuals LIVING WITH A LITLE EXTRA with a special spirit and we are truly blessed to have Londynn's loving spirit in our lives everyday!

This blog will be short because well it was her birthday when i started this blog and I had a lot of spoiling to do for the little girl who changed our lives. Yet above I have two videos that mean the world to me! One of them being the day she was born and the second one being the day she celebrated her first birthday by giving back to our family friends who's little girl is also LIVING WITH  A LITTLE EXTRA and is in the hospital kicking MDS butt by doing chemo right now.

Londynn we hope that as you grow that you can know how much we truly love you! You have been our greatest accomplishment and have blessed our lives beyond measures. I hope you always know that you are beautiful from the outside in and you are a child of your heavenly father who created you to change the lives of others. We know you will continue to break the mold and will eventually be advocating for yourself. We love you for everything you are and everything you will be! You are the light and soul of our family! LOVE YOU LITTLE BABE HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

FROM THE VERY BEGINNING

From the very beginning we made a promise to you Londynn, we promised to love you and protect you. We knew that in life there would be many trials we'd face, yet together as a family we knew we could do anything.

I had an interesting experience the other day that I'd like to share with you guys!  I met another Mother with a son who was living with a little extra. The conversation I had with her was one of the most challenging experiences I've faced so far. Her son was in his late 20's I believe. He was full of life and love! His spirit instantly drew me to him so I went up and introduced myself to his Mother, where I also let her know a little less then a year ago we also had a daughter who was born with a little extra.I always want to introduce myself to other families who have family members or children living with a little extra because I believe we are connected in a special way, yet by the time I get myself to finally do it tends to be to late. With saying that this was my first experience where I finally just went and did it! Now you are probably wondering why was this a challenging experience? Was it because I was scared or nervous to go up and introduce myself? In fact it wasn't it at all.

After introducing myself to her she shared a little bit about her son. She shared the things he loved as well as the things she's learned along the way. She shared her knowledge and things she thought would be useful to me. She was a very lovely lady and as our conversation was coming to end she shared something that shattered my heart. She said there's this place down the street where I can take Londynn to play where the kids also have Down syndrome because no one will EVER come knock on my door and ask to play with my child.... This broke my heart because I knew she truly meant what she said. And I had no doubt in my mind her child has had opposition and challenges in his life where he wasn't included in the community that he lived in. This shattered my heart my heart, yet what really shattered my heart was the way the conversation ended. She explained that there was a mother on page she was apart of on social media who shared that she wished her child would just move on from this life because it was just to difficult to raise her child who had special needs... She then followed this statement by saying " I do kind of understand where she is coming from being a parent to a child with special needs isn't easy." She is right about one thing. It isn't easy, yet raising any child special needs or not isn't easy it's hard you. Yet it is one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. I wanted to share this story and say THANK YOU! I believe this world has changed for the better when it comes to the way we treat others especially those living with a little extra. I believe this lady had these feelings because of the generation her son was raised in. People weren't as accepting as they are now. We've gone from individuals with disabilities being hidden away to loving them and excepting them for EVERYTHING they are which is more a like than different.  I believe we still have a lot of advocating to do yet thinking of where we were FROM THE VERY BEGINNING TO NOW we've come a long way and for that I'm grateful. We'd LOVE for you to join us in celebrating world Down Syndrome Day March 21st, 2018 by wearing some crazy socks and or yellow and blue!

FROM THE VERY BEGINNING I knew that we were going to have an amazing life filled of joy and love because of Londynn. Yet just like this lady we also knew we'd face some challenges in our life where maybe Londynn just wasn't seen for who truly was. Yet we know with all of you by our side we can do anything!

Today as I was cleaning Londynn's room I finally started folding all her preemie clothes. I've held off on folding them for awhile now because I'm honestly just not ready for my baby to grow up. I've watched Londynn beat the odds several times. I've watched her do things they said she wouldn't do in these simple little things we call clothes. She's an amazing little girl and as we hit a year of us being blessed with her lovely spirit we also get to look forward to the things she will do in this upcoming year!

The NICU was hard, really hard. It's definitely no place for a family to be right after bringing a child or children into this world. You never really are prepared to be NICU parents there is many things that you don't expect to happen. It seems like it's a constant roller coaster of highs and lows. There's a lot of one step forward and one step back moments. I had good experiences and bad experiences in the NICU. I had ones that I thought were going to completely break me and I had ones that reminded me of how lucky we were to have modern medicine to keep Londynn safe and striving.

In the NICU there was a lot of cuddling, nursing, praying, and diaper changes. Yet there was something else that we added to our daily routine! DRESS UP!I want to let you know I LOVE clothes I guess you could call me a shopaholic! Yet the shopping changed once I found out I was having a little girl! I changed the budget from me to Londynn! Before Londynn was even born she had a million clothes hanging up in her closet! It made me excited to have her here to play dress up with! I spent many ours before she was born organizing all her clothes by size and color! I was so ready to be a girl Mom, yet what I wasn't ready for or expecting was to be a Mom of a preemie. Londynn was born at 4 pounds 7 ounces! Tiny little love filled my heart right away! Yet her clothes were another story!

The smallest clothes we had at home was newborn clothes which completely drowned her! Yet with lots of love from the community, family, and friends we received many kind gifts from the people we loved and even complete strangers! Many of the gifts we received were preemie clothes from Carter's. They truly saved our lives in the NICU! With Londynn being small she had a hard time keeping her body temperature up on her own and was constantly needing to be put under a light to keep her warm! Once she started gaining a little weight and was slowly being able to keep her temps up on her own she didn't need the light anymore! Yet she still needed to be bundled in clothes and blankets! But with no having to be under the light that meant we were one step closer to being able to come home! I believe her being able to have clothes that fit her and clothes that we could layer to keep her warm helped her a lot! I'm not joking when I say Carter's clothes seriously saved us! They had just what we needed to keep her warm and layered! Carter's preemie clothes are my favorite! If you are parents of a preemie or a little love you can shop preemie clothes  CLICKING HERE!

Carter's has an amazing selection of clothes that aren't only trendy but fits every style that a child and Mother may have! I LOVE that Carter's it has been through every precious milestone with us! It was there for many of Londynn's first big milestones from her first night home to her very first bottle in the NICU. Still to this day even though Londynn is always amazing me with her strength and  hitting her milestones! Yet my all time favorite one was her finishing her first bottle! I prayed and prayed for this day! This is all we needed for her to go home in our last week at the hospital. Though this sounds easy, it was not at all easy! And I'm sure all parents who have had to do the eating challenge to be released from the NICU can attest to how hard this was and is. I spent many night crying because we were so close to going home and then her little body was just to tired and she wouldn't eat so we would have to restart. Carter's got me through a lot of hard days! Every morning I had selection of Carter's clothes that I would choose from it made me excited to go down to the NICU and start a new day full of precious milestones that would allow us to eventually go home! The nurses knew that I would be there every morning ready to give Londynn a little sponge bath and get her ready in her new cute outfits with a matching bow of course.

For every milestone Carter's has been my go to and has been there for my family! I appreciate being a Mother more than I could ever explain. I believe this was due to the fact that there were times where I just didn't feel like a Mother in the NICU. Yet there was one time everyday that I felt like a Mother and this was when I got to dress her in her little clothes. This was my time with her that I could count on everyday to feel like a Mom. Being a Mother is sometimes a very thankless job, yet I'd do everything over and over again just to be Londynn's Mommy.

Since February is the month of LOVE I wanted to share with you Carter's February baby sale! If you haven't yet go follow our bow page @londynnsbowtiqueco! Also something I've done a few times is shop with a cop! I've really enjoyed this! If you haven't heard of Shop with a Cop it's honestly life changing! Volunteers gather to have an early morning breakfast with children from the community followed by meet and greet with Santa and SHOPPING!  Why is it called Shop with a Cop? It is officers in our local communities who volunteer their time to spend the morning with these children.  The children receive their own police escort to a local participating store and anxiously await the arrival of Santa in a helicopter!

We ended up doing those flavored Jelly beans that have good and awful tasting jelly beans all mixed together! At the end of the game we realized that no one ever got our jelly beans! We then looked over at Mark, who is also one of our families special blessings, he had got our gift! Mark was in the process of devouring 200 plus, awful flavored jelly beans.  The look on his face was one of pure disgust yet priceless! I provided a picture below so you can see the list of unique, disgusting flavors! We truly love Uncle Mark! He has made the holidays just that more enjoyable!

SPONSORED SONG

Through this journey I know that there will be hard days. Yesterday was one of those days unfortunately. While cuddling our precious little girl a flood of messages came through saying that our little girl was not normal looking, that I should have chosen abortion, and I should be disgusted and disappointed that she is mine. Well first off what's normal? Have you ever really sat down and thought about what normal truly is? There isn't a normal, normal is different for every person due to their beliefs, religion, backrounds, families, etc. So how can there be a real normal when all of our normal's are so different.

My mind set most days when it comes to our lives of LIVING WITH A LITTLE EXTRA is simple. I wake up and I don't see Down Syndrome I see our daughter Londynn a beautiful striving little girl, I SEE LONDYNN. She isn't her diagnosis! Never has been and never will be. And my mind set is exactly that. I spend my time doing exactly what I should be doing with my 7 month old baby helping her grow by giving her lots of love, reading to her, and doing tummy time hopefully getting us closer to crawling!

Now that I have shared that with you. Can I share with you how hard it is to know that people see my daughter and they don't see Londynn.. They see Down Syndrome. Yet wait.. What if I knew that when people saw my child Londynn who just happens to be  LIVING WITH A LITTLE EXTRA I knew that they were thinking of how beautiful she is despite her diagnosis? Or how lucky we are? Well I believe it's possible! That's why I have chosen to share our story with you! To help kick normal to the curb and accept different as the new normal. So for the people who have felt like it's acceptable to write me two days in a row and say our daughter and every other child LIVING WITH A LITTLE EXTRA doesn't deserve to be here. Don't be sorry for us. Be sorry for yourself that you can't experience the beauty in Down Syndrome or even take the time to understand why MILLIONS of people have joined our community to help spread awareness and love. You hurt our family yet that hurt didn't last long. When we had Londynn I made a promise to her that I would fight for her. And that's why I've chosen to rise up UNAFRAID despite your hurtful comments and messages I will keep bringing awareness and sharing our journey in hopes that maybe just maybe your heart will be softened over time.

The sponsored song for this blog has become my song to Londynn. I knew right as I heard it! Despite of the ache that I might have felt yesterday or that I might feel in the future I would do it a thousand times again for her. I know as Mother's and parents we won't always be able to protect our children yet until she has a voice I will be hers because she deserves to be here just like every other child. THEY deserve to be here. Who are we to say who deserves to be here on this earth? I believe God doesn't make mistakes! Though I do tend to feel that way someday's towards the mean hateful people we have had to experience through this journey. I've come to realize they have also taught me things. One of those being not fight hate with hate yet to fight hate with love!

Thank you so much for all the support and love I still can't believe we've touched a million lives!

LOVE YOURS TRULY,

LIVING WITH A LITTLE EXTRA

LIFE IS BETTER WITH YOU

LIFE IS BETTER WITH YOU

#LIFEisbetterwithyou

March 30th, 2017 our lives changed in the best way yet! It was a scary day filled with so many emotions and the constant flow of tears yet never once did I regret anything we've done to get to this point in our lives. Londynn was sent to us and she has been a blessing in so many ways to our family.

Londynn is now 5 months and is the sassiest, prettiest, and funniest little babe. I knew when she was born that I would get my Mama heart strings pulled often by the stares and ignorance of people who just don't understand yet I didn't truly understand how bad it would hurt. My heart is living out side my body everyday and every rude comment and article that is published about children with extra chromosomes not deserving a chance in this world makes me instantly heart broken. Londynn is such a light in our lives and our lives our better with her.

Together I believe if we switch our mind set from a disability to a little extra we can slowly start to understand they are more a like than different. Down Syndrome isn't a disability it's a little extra love, kindness, strength, and faith everyday.

We all have a little extra something that we are living with each day whether it's depression, Obsessive compulsive disorder, Anxiety, Asthma, Arthritis, etc. We all are living with a little extra something that makes us different and different is beautiful! How boring would the world be if we were all the same. I don't know about you yet I'd rather be different than the same.

I'm asking for those of you who are having a hard time understanding why families who get the pre diagnosis of their baby having Down Syndrome decide to choose love instead of abortion to understand we our parents and this little extra blessing doesn't make them less of a person than you. When you say that you don't think our children should even get a chance to be who they are supposed to be please understand God doesn't make mistakes and these our our children you are talking about. If you don't understand, try to understand there's a reason why families who have children with an extra chromosome are so HAPPY It's because of the little extra that they have brought into our lives! Now don't misunderstand being happy for always being happy we have our struggles like any other families yet it's a lot harder when you have these beautiful humans who spend most of their lives being mischievous, loving and happy.

Before I got married I was still healing from a lot of things that happened in my past a lot of my wounds turned into scars because of my husband I was able to learn to forgive and find strength with him by my side yet some of those wounds were still in my life and very much there and causing pain. Londynn has brought a whole new meaning to healing she has healed me in ways I have never thought was possible. I've always been afraid of not being loved  and finally with Londynn I feel that love I've been searching for. She looks at me with a sparkle in her eyes and I see the love she has for me. It's pure and eternal. This is only one of many stories that I could share with you about why my life is better with her! We all have opportunity to make a difference in the world. I see so much hate and negativity in a world where we need more love and less hate. With Londynn being born it was a refreshing reminder that in a world full of evil there's still hope and light. I hope my followers can be the people to lift others and be the change you hope to see in the world.

We wanted to make a change that's why we started a blog. We want to help families who get the pre diagnosis overcome the fears that come with not knowing what to expect, not only that we also want to help families who have recently brought a beautiful baby into the world not knowing that they were in for a life of being blessed with a iittle extra. These two situations are very different and hard in different ways! More than anything we wanted to change the hearts of people who see these kids as a burden and not worth a life. I hope they can see our families journey and their hearts can be soften and understand how truly beautiful these children are. Our lives are so much better with Londynn. She is everything we never knew needed in our lives.

Londynn Mommy and Daddy want you to know "Our wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too."

LONDYBELL WE LOVE YOU!!!!

21 YEARS

21 was just a number until our baby girl was diagnosed with Trisomy 21, now it’s our lucky number.
— Madisen Clark

My life hasn't always been the easiest journey yet the day that I married my best friend on May 1st, 2015 I believe that road changed for the better. I can't believe how much my life has changed!  Logan has blessed me with his unconditional love and also helped bring our greatest blessing into this world, Londynn.

21 was always just a number for me. It didn't represent anything special until the day Londynn was born now, it's our lucky number. Having a baby with T21 at the age of 20 is very rare and this is a constant reminder of how Heavenly Father knew exactly what he was doing when blessing our family with Londynn.

I worked with special needs students in high school. In the 3 years I was blessed with the experience to work with Dylan.  Dylan was also diagnosed with T21! I remember in high school constantly saying that I would LOVE to be a parent to a special child.  Well our Heavenly Father listened and granted me my wish.  As a young couple Logan and I have been given the biggest blessing we could have ever received. This shows me that Heavenly Father is always listening to every prayer and every conversation, He knows us and loves us unconditionally. I couldn't be more grateful for our Heavenly Father listening to me and blessing us with exactly what I had asked for a few short years earlier.

Londynn's diagnosis of Trisomy 21 changed my life completely. Many fears come with this diagnosis, many fears that I knew I needed to let go of. I knew I needed to let go of these fears so that I could enjoy our life with Londynn and give her the life she deserves. I can't do that if I allow myself to live with fear.  Sometimes the biggest fear is letting go of what you are afraid of.

I told you I want to be honest with you about our life and our journey with Londynn so I'm going to share with you 21 fears that came along with her diagnosis. We want you to know even though we have these fears our blessings have never failed to shine through.

21 FEARS

  1. She wasn't going to look like us.

  2. She was going to be made fun of.

  3. She could die earlier than us.

  4. She could get Leukemia.

  5. She would have to get surgery because her holes in heart wouldn't close.

  6. She would have to be on oxygen for a long time.

  7. She wouldn't be able to play sports because of low muscle tone.

  8. She would be looked at as Down Syndrome not Londynn.

  9. She wouldn't be treated equal.

  10. She wouldn't breastfeed.

  11. She wouldn't pass her hearing test.

  12. She would have trouble with her eye sight.

  13. She would have a hard time walking.

  14. She wouldn't have me or her family to take care of her one day and she has to go to the state.

  15. She would be treated different by family, friends and strangers.

  16. She wouldn't know how much we truly loved her.

  17. People would be uncomfortable around her.

  18. We wouldn't be able to travel.

  19. People wouldn't want to hangout with us.

  20. She would be in the NICU for a long time.

  21. She would always have to be supplemented.

LETTING GO OF OUR 21 FEARS

We chose to let go of our 21 balloons of fear at the end of this photoshoot.  These balloons carried 21 fears that I have carried after finding out about Londynn's diagnosis. I'm so glad I was able to finally trust that Londynn had chosen Logan and I to be her parents and let these fears go. YES these fears will still creep into my head at time yet when this happens I remind myself I no longer choose to live with these fears. From this point forward I promised myself that I would try to live a life with Londynn based on trust and faith.

By letting go of these fears that day I realized I was setting myself free from the worry and stress I felt daily. We set those fears free to our Heavenly Father, there's no one I would trust more then Him to hold these fears for me and embrace us with his unconditional love and understanding. When we allow Him to hold these fears He allows us to live the life we deserve with Londynn and for that we will always be grateful.

Our family knows that some of these fears might become reality one day yet none of us may predict what our future holds.  For now we will choose faith instead of fear and trust Heavenly Father's plan he has set forth for our family here on earth.

Her small steps will turn into miles.

It's crazy how a pair of shoes can have so much meaning. Londynn being born at only 4 pounds 7 ounces made it seem like forever until a pair of shoes could finally fit. We've been trying new born shoes since she finally hit 7 pounds yet they still were way to big! Then we finally got a pair of Freshly Picked moccasins!

Londynn has been growing like crazy! I find myself overcome by happiness when I think of how much she's grown. She has control of her head, rolls over, and NEVER stops smiling. She makes us so proud everyday.

As a Mother I really try to take time in my day to just cuddle Londynn and spend quality time with her. Though I do this now I have also been guilty of  trying to prop up a bottle while I'm trying to clean the house or get ready. Us Mothers have a lot of responsibilities yet  we sometimes forget how fast life goes. So I hope you'll except my challenge to take time even if it's just 30 minutes to enjoy the time you have with your families,

I love putting on Londynn's Freshly Picked moccasins and seeing how her tiny feet are beginning to grow. Even though this makes me emotional because I would like her to stay our baby forever I know she has a beautiful life ahead of her filled with many accomplishments! We can't wait to share some of those moments in our Freshly Picked moccasins.

I WILL HAVE FREEDOM

Today as I was going through our morning routine I stumbled across a note pad with my husbands goals! Above is a picture of what I saw on his note pad. My heart seriously couldn't be more full to have such a hard working and loving husband.

It was only the night before I walked in our room to see the sweetest of things. Logan had Londynn in his arms and I heard them making goals together! He was telling her all the things he wanted to give her in life and all the adventures we would go on. It's amazing how I just keep falling in love with him over and over again everyday. He proves to me everyday that we are his reason why.

I truly believe because he has a reason why he will always be successful! By successful I don't mean just financially. Logan has been the best support and greatest father to our sweet Londynn! Him setting goals based on his reasons why in my eyes already shows success in one aspect.

Logan started a new job after Londynn was born knowing that I wanted to have Londynn and her next sibling close together! With medical bills pilling up from the NICU he knew without a new job we couldn't financially afford more children for awhile. So he unselfishly put in his two weeks at his job where he had built strong relationships with his his coworkers and bosses and took a huge step toward financial freedom.

Below I've shared a couple tips that I think could potentially help you reach financial freedom though we haven't reached this goal completly I believe we are getting closer everyday!

5 MORE MINUTES

GIVE ME 5 MORE MINUTES

Shout out to @carlihenphoto for these beautiful pictures.

This Blog Is going to be a really emotional blog for me to write. I'm going to share my feelings about the day God blessed me with the biggest blessing I could ever receive.

March 29th, 2017 I was at someone's house picking up a massage table! I do eyelashes from home and I found a good deal on a table that would be comfy for my clients and the perfect addition to my salon. It was a pretty normal day until I picked up that table! When I went to pick up the massage table I DID NOT expect it to be that heavy. Here I am 37 weeks and 4 days pregnant no big deal, right?! I can just lift this 40 pound table to the car by myself.  As I lifted the table my water broke! My thoughts at that very moment were, I either just peed my pants which happens frequently while pregnant or my water just broke.

You guessed it! My water broke because there was no way I was continuously peeing my pants! Alone at the time because I had my big girl panties on and could handle the task I had set out to do on my own I drove myself to the hospital.  When arrived at the hospital I was feeling every emotion stream through my body.  Fear, excitement, happiness and sadness. The sadness I felt was because I knew my midwife was out of town and wouldn't be able to deliver our baby girl like as we had planned yet more then anything I was so excited to meet our baby girl that we had spent the last 37 weeks preparing for.

My labor wasn't to bad until I dilated to a 7, that's when things got scary! Londynn's heart rate began to drop over and over again.  At this point the nurses started moving me into different positions in hopes to help Londynn's heart rate. Oh boy was this fun! I was numb from the hips down so thankfully my upper body strength came in handy. After an hour of moving me into different positions it did not appear Londynn was going to cooperate.  This is when the preparation for a c-section began.  I knew the strength Londynn and I truly needed was in the hands of our Heavenly Father so I began to pray.  My only request was for whatever means necessary just make sure Londynn comes into this world safely.  Even though a c-section was never a part of my birth plan I would do whatever to have Londynn in my arms! When the nurses came in all I wanted was 5 MORE MINUTES with my husband alone in the room where we had planned on delivering our baby girl and 5 MORE MINUTES to talk to our Heavenly Father.

Heavenly Father listened to my prayer that night.  The nurses gave me those 5 MORE MINUTES!  In those 5 minutes Londynn's heart rate went back to normal and I quickly dilated to a 9.  This allowed us to continue with the delivery as planned.  Within 10 minutes and less then 5 pushes Londynn Isbella made her big debute.  Apparently she was just as excited to meet us! We were grateful to finally have her in our arms knowing we couldn't wait to meet her either.

We were able to spend some time with Londynn alone while we waited for the pediatrician to come visit. In those hours we spent our time loving on our new baby girl admiring all her beautiful features and everything she was. When the pediatrician arrived she went straight to Londynn and began examining her. We knew Londynn was small so we figured that's what they were taking a little extra time examining her for. After only a few minutes the pediatrician came and asked to speak with us?  Our first thought was they were concerned about Londynn's weight and wanted to discuss this with us.  This memory isn't easy to think about. I wish it would have been different yet you can only hope for a better experience for someone else in our circumstance.

The way this pediatrician chose to tell us Londynn had down syndrome was in front of other family members.  Understand we love our family dearly and could not be more appreciative of all the love and support yet Logan and I felt this was something much more personal and would have preferred it to just be us when we were told. The pediatrician wasn't sensitive with the information she was delivering. When we asked the pediatrician if it was anything we did her response was, "it's just bad luck."

Londynn wasn't bad luck, we hit the jack pot!  This is why kids with disabilities don't get the chance to show people who they truly are! People believe they were just a bad luck baby! They are so much more then their disability! This is part of the reason we cried for two days straight, we were afraid of the people that were going to see our baby girl as the bad luck baby! We knew how much we loved Londynn yet we feared not everyone would see how much she was going to change the world in the best way possible.

Shortly after the peditrician came in Londynn was taken from my arms and was put into the NICU... My baby who I had carried in my stomach for 9 months had just been taken from my arms and placed in a room where she would spend the next 2 and 1/2 weeks. In that moment she was taken I prayed to Heavenly Father just GIVE ME 5 MORE MINUTES! This time he answered in a different way.  He didn't give me 5 more minutes yet he gave me nurse JULIE. Julie has become one of our families biggest blessings! She made me smile when I thought I couldn't take another step. She fed me when I was to focused on Londynn and not myself.  She kept the laughter alive in our family! I finally started sleeping at least an hour in 24 hours because I trusted her with Londynn. I knew she loved Londynn as much as we did.  We knew Julie not only truly cared about  Londynn yet our family!  Heavenly father knew it would be hard to have Londynn in the NICU yet he knew exactly what He was doing. He was blessing our family with another angel and that was Julie.

In the hospital Londynn kept being put in a jar.   We weren't going to allow this, not then, not ever! She was strong, she was capable and there was to many times where I found myself saying please just GIVE HER 5 MORE MINUTES she deserves that. I want to change the way these kids get treated. I want to be and I will be their advocates! We believe in them! They need more people to believe in them so they can live up to everything they are capable of! I want to share my story so others can know they are not alone and they have support!

Londynn wasn't bad luck... I wish I had 5 MORE MINUTES to educate that pediatrician on how big of a blessing and how much happiness these beautiful children bring into our lives! We are so LUCKY Heavenly Father chose us to be the parents to one of His most blessed angels.

These children deserve so much more.  So please take just 5 MINUTES to share our story to bring awareness to these beautiful children and all they are capable of.  As well give yourself 5 MORE MINUTES to show a little extra love, kindness, strength and faith.

Thanks Scotty McCreery for inspiring me to finally write this.

MEET LOGAN

LONDYNN'S DADDY

I MAY FIND MY PRINCE SOMEDAY. BUT MY DADDY WILL ALWAYS BE MY KING.

Logan was born March 31st, 1992 and Londynn March 30th, 2017 a day before her Daddy's birthday! I remember him saying several times all I want for my birthday is for Londynn to be born he thought that would be the best gift in the world and though she wasn't born on his birthday we truly received such a special gift March 30th, 2017.

Londynn's original due date was April 15th, 2017! What comes to your mind tax day? That was us until we remember we started this crazy adventure of dating April 15th, 2014! This was a huge day in a story that is now going to be eternity and what better of a day to bring our baby girl into the world.

FIRST COMES LOVE. THEN COMES MARRIAGE. THEN COMES A BABY IN A BABY CARRIAGE.

Logan came into my life so easy and became my best friend and soul mate even easier! I want to write one of these next blogs on our love story because it's something that started this huge adventure, which has now brought our sweet baby girl into this world.

GETTING TO KNOW LOGAN

Logan's hobbys consist of family, cars, traveling, and personal health.

Logan has always traveled due to his dads work growing up which has taught him to be very open to different things and to love everyone for who they truly are. With traveling he spent a majority of his life in Dubai and you can tell it's a very big part of him and somewhere he would like to take our family one day. In Dubai he mainly focused on wrestling yet he also enjoyed playing many other sports through out his life but wrestling was his all time favirote. He is now still very active he goes to the gym daily and sticks to a healthy diet! I love that he also helps me with my goals in staying healthy and happy!

Logan is a hardworking and loving guy! I know that he would do anything for his friends, family, and even people he just met. He loves helping people and making people feel appreciated and loved. It's probably one of the things I love most about him.

Logan can fix anything and EVERYTHING. Every time I have something broken I know I can count on him to fix it. Logan has fixed a lot of things for me yet the biggest thing he has fixed is my heart.

I've had a lot of heart break in my life which unfortunately led to me feeling like I could never be truly loved. These heart breaks have come from the people I've trusted most and because of this I never thought it was possible for my heart to be fixed.. until I met Logan. Logan came into my life so easy and became my best friend and soul mate even easier! Yet he also came into my life knowing there was things he was going to have to deal with yet he didn't choose to just deal with it.. he chose to help me pick up the broken pieces from the years of life where I felt unloved. He has showed me that I don't have to fear him leaving or not loving me and this alone shows what kind of man he is and has been raised to be. He is very loyal, strong, and kind. I remember the day in the hospital when they told us we could no longer stay there with our sweet baby that was in the NICU and I just started crying! This was my worst fear coming true.. How was going to leave my baby that I've carried with me for 9 months at the hospital behind? I couldn't handle the thought of this and I felt so weak and began to cry and that's when he took me into his arms and told me " I will do anything and everything to make sure you and Londynn don't get seperated." He said this to me though I know he was being strong for me even though he was having a hard time as well. I appreciate the times Logan  was strong yet I appreciate the times he wasn't even more because he showed me that it was okay to not always be okay.

Through Logan's life he has been very successful in many things. Yet he has more then succeeded in being a father and a husband. He has become a hero not to just Londynn but to me as well. I love him and I couldn't imagine this journey with anyone else. There's seriously no other love like yours!

Through our blog I hope that you can learn more about our family! We are also very excited to learn about our followers so please feel free to reach out to us as we continue this journey!

XOXO,

The Clark's
